Together with our friends at Where is my Pony, we were commissioned to modernize Chemsec.org and their WordPress setup.

ChemSec is an independent non-profit organization that drives the transition from hazardous chemicals to safer alternatives, and their website houses a large number of scientific articles and reports.

What we did

To simplify maintenance and improve security, we chose to replace a large number of plugins used on the site with built-in WordPress features.

At the same time, we wanted to give ChemSec's editors more freedom when creating content, which has given them greater flexibility in their work.

We also applied a completely new design developed by Where is my Pony to give the site a more modern feel, which, together with our development, resulted in high scores for accessibility.
